Construction Advisory Committee Call for Candidates

A Construction Advisory Committee is an ad hoc committee of a school's Principal Advisory Council.  This is a call for parents/guardians and community members who are interested in serving on the Construction Advisory Committee (CAC) for a significant and/or E-SPLOST (Education Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax) capital improvement project in select school communities. Parents/guardians and community members of the following schools are eligible to serve: Cross Keys High School, Dresden Elementary School, Druid Hills High School, Idlewood Elementary School, Sequoyah Middle School, and Stoneview Elementary School.

The Construction Advisory Committee increases stakeholder and community engagement in the design, planning, and construction phases of significant capital improvement projects and/or E-SPLOST projects such as additions (e.g., classroom, auditorium) or renovations.   All Construction Advisory Committee members must complete a conflict-of-interest form at the initial Construction Advisory Committee training conducted by the district. These conflict-of-interest forms must be completed by all Construction Advisory Committee members prior to the first meeting.

The deadline to electronically complete this application is Friday, January 31, 2025.
